Whose Battle is it?
Has there ever been a time that was so frustrating that we wanted to lash out at the people offending us or taking advantage of us? Sure, we all have. Here in 1 Chronicles were are reminded that God will take care of our enemies.
1 Chronicles 5:18-22
Here we have a passage that is talking about the tribe of Gad. In this they went to war because the Hagarites, Jetur, and Nephish and Nodab. Here is a good example for us to give the battles to the Lord. Just as the children of the tribe of Gad – “…they cried unto God in battle…”
- Deuteronomy 32:35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
- Psalms 94:1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
- Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Above are only a couple of verses that we can look to that we take the promise of God and understand that He will take care of business. King David in many Psalms went to God because of his adversary…how do we do?
