My order of Christmas snow arrived a day late, but still
makes it a white Christmas in my book. Christmas just seems to need snow. They tell me that here in New Mexico, it won’t
last long. So I took a picture.
God says that there are treasures in snow. Certainly, it pictures purity, “white as
snow.” It’s great for skiers, snowboarders and husbands that love to throw
snowballs at their wives (which is a tradition in my household – although she
has ruled it illegal to throw snowballs in the house/apartment). Another treasure of snow is that it needs to
build up in the mountains to supply water for the lowlands through the summer
months.
How does this help me in days of trouble? Just the reminder that my sins have been
washed away helps me through a difficult time.
Just the idea that I am saved and that, like snow, this life is only
temporary encourages me to keep on keeping on.
Hail, snow, and ice make it difficult for the enemy to
attack. Thus, God can use it to protect me from problems. Instead of fussing
about what a hassle snow is, I can rejoice in it!
“Hast thou entered into
the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I
have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?”
Job 38:22-23.
