What If "What If" Happens?
In making plans for our lives, we
try to prepare for "what if." What if this happens or that happens?
We never really think it will happen, but what if? What if the thing that you fear the most
happened? What if "what if"
really happened?
Sometimes we are totally
blindsided by events. Some things we
cannot prepare for. We might have insurance, 401k's etc. to help prepare for
some things, but who can prepare loss of possessions from a tornado, or the
physical ravages of a chronic or terminal illness, or loss of limbs in war or
accident, or the emotional damage resulting from a death of a spouse or child
or something unimaginable?
"What if" happened to Job
when he lost all his riches, possessions, businesses, children within a day, and
then lost his health (be sure to read the last chapter of Job for the end of
the story).
"For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that
which I was afraid of is come unto me." Job 3:25
Some people fear death more than
anything. It is their "what
if." What if death came to your door today? Are you ready? "For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. " Romans 10:13
