How Satan Attacks

Ephesians 6:11
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

The battle in the Christian life is a real battle. Far too many Christians live the Christian life as if it were a game only to find their life to be in shambles. As Christians, we must realize that the Devil is real. Not only is the Devil real, but he also is out to destroy us.

The verse above warns us that we are at war with Satan. Though this war that we are in is not one that can be seen, it is still real. The attacks of Satan come at us from every angle, and we are warned by God to be armed and ready to fight off those attacks. In the verses following the verse above, we find the areas of attack where Satan constantly comes at us.

In verse 12 we see that Satan will attack your relationships with people. These relationships vary from your marriage, family, church and fellow Christians. Though there are many other relationships Satan attacks, you must be on guard so that you have the right relationships and keep the ones you have healthy.

The second area of attack is found in verse 13 when we see that Satan attacks your stand. Christian, your positional stand is very important. Satan constantly tries to get you to retreat in your beliefs, and you cannot fall for this attack.

The third area of attack is found in verse 14 where we find Satan attacks your words. You must be careful as a Christian to tell the truth all the time. Don't fall for Satan's attack to get you to embellish things to make yourself sound better. Always be truthful and you will ward of Satan's attack.

The fourth area of attack is found in verse 14 where we see he attacks your lifestyle. Satan is constantly trying to get you to change your lifestyle. Don't fall trap to changing your lifestyle just to be accepted by people. This is Satan's attack against you, and you must beware of his attack in this area.

The next area is found in verse 15 where Satan attacks your witness. Satan will attack your testimony as well as your faithfulness to soul winning because He doesn't want people to get saved. To ward off this attack, you must purposely witness to people on a daily basis.

The next area Satan attacks is found in verse 16 when he attacks your faith. Satan attacks your faith by sending doubt. Doubt does not come from God, but from Satan. When God commands you to step out and do something by faith, don't let doubt stop you.

Last of all, Satan attacks your walk with God in verses 17-18. You will never overcome Satan's attacks without spending time studying the Scriptures and praying. Studying the Scriptures and prayer are where you strengthen yourself to fight against Satan.

If you know how the enemy attacks, then watch those areas so that he does not hurt you in the battle. We are in a real battle, so beware of each of these areas so that Satan does not injure or destroy you in the battle.
