Wisdom's Leadership
Proverbs 8:20
“I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:”
Everyone needs wisdom! One way you can be assured that you are following the pathway to wisdom is that wisdom will always lead you down the paths of righteousness. If something is leading you down a pathway that does not lead to living right, then that is not the pathway of wisdom. Wisdom will never lead you down a path that would cause you to do wrong. So if you are not following the pathway of wisdom, then that would mean that you are following the pathway of foolishness.
Notice that God said in the verse above, “...in the midst of the paths of judgment:” This is talking about in the time of decision, wisdom leads you down the pathway of righteousness. In other words, when making a decision, wisdom will always lead you to do right. We all must make decisions in life, but when the decision becomes hard to make, you can always discern which way is the right way by looking at where the decision will lead you. If the decision will lead you to do right, then you know that is the pathway of wisdom, but if the decision will lead you away from righteousness, then that would be the pathway of foolishness.
God is trying to teach us, when making decisions, to not look at the immediate results of a decision, but look down the road to where the decision will lead. Wise decisions are made by looking down the road and not by looking at the immediate results. Foolish decisions are made when looking at the immediate results, for the immediate never takes future consequences into account.
Notice that the result of following the way of wisdom is that God will fill your treasures. In other words, whatever you treasure in life God will bless that area if you will follow the leadership of wisdom. If you are following the way of wisdom, then you will live a right life and will treasure the right things in life. For instance, if you do right your treasures would be your family, church ministries and anything that has to do with doing right. If you will only follow wisdoms' leadership, God will bless these areas of life. When God talks about treasures, He is not just talking about money, His is also talking about your family and ministry for you can treasure these if you are living right.
Do you want God's blessings upon the things that you treasure in life? The way to get God to bless and fill your treasures is to follow wisdoms' leadership. Always remember that wisdoms' leadership will always lead you down the pathway of living right. Follow wisdom and do right, and you are promised that God will bless those treasures of your life.
