It Is Done

Revelation 21:6
“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”

God is a finisher! Everything that God starts He finishes. In Genesis 1:1 God started the work of creating this world, and He finished that work in six days. Jesus started the work on Calvary, and in John 19:30 He cried, “It is finished.” In the verse above, we are reminded that God started everything from the beginning, and then He reminds us that He will be the end when He said, “It is done.” God reminds us that when He starts a work in our life, He will finish that work in Philippians 1:6 when He said, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Whatever God starts He finishes!

As a Christian, you should follow the example of God and be sure to finish everything that you start. God never started something and left it undone; whatever He has started He finished. Likewise, you should be sure to finish everything that you start. If you start reading a book, then finish it. If you start working in a ministry in your church, then don't quit, but finish your work. If you start a job, then finish that job. Don't be someone who leaves things unfinished in your life.

Finishing what you start takes hard work, patience and endurance. If you expect finishing something to be easy, then you have the wrong mindset. In order to finish a job you must have the mindset from the beginning that you are going to finish it no matter what obstacles come your way. If you start something with the mindset that you will quit it if it gets difficult, then you are sure to quit. You must decide from the beginning to finish what you start.

Finishing what you start will help you to feel complete in life. Finishing what you start will help you to improve your confidence. One of the reasons many people lack confidence in life is because they have nothing they can point to that they have finished. Looking at a completed job will help you to build your confidence, which will help you to be a better servant of Christ.

Be a finisher in life! If there is something in your life that you have left unfinished, decide right now that you are going to finish it. Decide that you are going to do whatever it takes to finish your job. Being a finisher will make you more like God, it will build your confidence level and it will make you feel that you have accomplished something in life. Whatever you do, be a finisher!
