4/8 A Dramatic Change

A Dramatic Change!

Spring has sprung!  Spring fever is setting in.  Somebody mentioned dragonflies today, which has me thinking about trying to take pictures of them.  I think dragonflies are my favorite insect.  I am eagerly awaiting their arrival (some migrate, some nymphs survived the winter and will "hatch" out).

God created everything for a purpose and many are object lessons from which we can learn.  Dragonflies make one of the greatest points in the entire world.

The dragonfly begins life as an ugly nymph in the filth at the bottom of the slough. It crawls around through the debris preying on other bottom feeding creatures. Then one day it crawls up on a rock, sheds that skin and out comes a multi-colored, winged insect with awesome flying capabilities. What a dramatic change!

I am thoroughly fascinated with them.  Through photography, I have learned a little bit of how they can hover, fly backwards then zip off at high speed.

As people, we live life in the muck and the mire of sin, until the day we trust Christ as Savior, and then become new creatures.  God makes that dramatic change in us!

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2Corinthians 5:17.
