7-17-14 It Will Never Live Again

"Grrrrreat! My phone is dead." I fussed. "It never even cried out about it.  It just died. How rude."

"So, plug it in the charger," my wife advised.

"No, it's not dead, I mean it is dead-dead."

"What's the difference?"

"Dead is dead - it can be recharged. But dead-dead means it's totally dead - it won't take a charge. It will never live again. It's forever dead."

"Try a different outlet," she suggested.

After trying a couple outlets, I declared the phone hopelessly dead and went to bed.  In the morning, I took the battery out, put it back in, and then plugged it into the charger. It worked! It wasn't dead-dead after all, it was merely dead and could be recharged.

"Good news, the phone was merely dead.  It's charging now.  It will live again!"

When death knocks on my door, I know that I will live again in heaven.

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John 11:25-26.
