I don't see Jesus sanctioning
this kind of prayer regarding anyone. In
fact, He told them that they didn't know what spirit they were of. They didn't
recognize Satan working in their hearts. Jesus didn't come to hurt people, but
to save them.
Thus, our prayer for our
President, or anyone else for that matter, is that they get saved and seek
guidance from God. What a wonderful
thing it would be to see our President surrender his heart to Jesus! What a
tremendous change would happen in our country to see our Vice-President and
members of congress trust Jesus as Savior.
I pray for our country and our
leaders to allow Jesus into their hearts. I have been praying for revival in our
country, but some areas of our country need a Great Awakening. Pray with me for
our country, its leaders and other lost people you know.
"And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come
down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and
rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy
men's lives, but to save them.
And they went to another village."
Luke 9:54-56.
